Legal
Terms of Service
These terms are the simple agreement between you and Maybespace for using our website and apps. We've tried to keep them short and readable. The gist: use our Services fairly, and we'll keep building good things — while being upfront about the few legal basics every company needs.
The short version
- Use our Services fairly and legally — don't break or abuse them.
- What we make (our apps, design, and brand) stays ours; what you make stays yours.
- Our Services are provided as-is, and there are limits on our legal liability.
- If we ever change these terms, we'll update the date and keep it fair.
- Some apps use AI — results can be imperfect, and any AI key you add follows that provider's terms.
Using the Services
By using our website or apps (the "Services"), you agree to these terms. Please use them only in ways that are legal and that don't interfere with how they work for you or anyone else. Don't try to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Services or the systems behind them.
Your content stays yours
Anything you create or store through our apps belongs to you. We don't claim ownership of it. We only access or process it to the extent needed to provide the feature you're using, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Our content stays ours
The Services — including their design, text, graphics, software, and the Maybespace name and logo — belong to Maybespace or our licensors, and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don't give you the right to use our trademarks, branding, or content without our permission.
App-specific terms
Some apps in our portfolio may add their own terms, shown within the app or its store listing. If those ever conflict with these, the app-specific terms win for that particular app.
AI-powered features
Some apps include features powered by artificial intelligence, and a few things apply when you use them:
- Results can be imperfect. AI output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. Please review it before relying on it — it isn't a substitute for professional advice.
- Bring-your-own AI. If a feature lets you connect a third-party AI service with your own account or API key (for example, Anthropic's Claude), your use of that service is governed by that provider's terms and pricing, and you're responsible for following them. We aren't responsible for third-party AI services, their availability, or their output.
- Ownership. You keep ownership of what you put in. Any rights in AI-generated output are subject to the terms of the AI provider that produced it.
- Fair use. Don't use AI features to create unlawful, harmful, or infringing content, or in any other way these terms prohibit.
The Services are provided "as is"
We work hard to make our Services reliable, but we provide them "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We can't promise the Services will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly suited to your needs.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maybespace won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Services. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't legally be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. This doesn't take away any consumer-protection rights you're entitled to where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. If you keep using the Services after an update, the current version applies.
