Privacy Policy
We started Maybespace because we love building good software — not because we want your data. This policy explains, in plain English, the little we collect, why we collect it, and the control you keep over it. If anything here is unclear, email us and a real person will get back to you.
The short version
- We collect as little as we possibly can to run our apps.
- We never sell your personal information — to anyone, ever.
- We don't show third-party ads and we don't track you around the web.
- You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information at any time.
- Anything we do keep, we protect and hold onto only as long as we need it.
- When an app uses AI, we tell you — and anything involving a third party is your choice.
Who we are
Maybespace LLC ("Maybespace," "we," "us," or "our") builds and operates this website and a small portfolio of applications (together, the "Services"). This policy covers the website and applies as a baseline to our apps; where an individual app collects anything beyond what is described here, it will tell you clearly within the app and in its app store listing.
What we collect
We keep this list short on purpose. Depending on how you use the Services, this may include:
- Things you send us. When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. That's it — you decide what to share.
- Basic technical data. Like most software, our apps may record limited, largely aggregated diagnostics — app version, device type, and crash reports — so we can fix bugs and keep things running.
- App features you use. Some apps need certain information to do their job (for example, a note you save). We handle that data only to provide the feature you asked for, and each app explains its own specifics.
We do not ask for more than we need, and we avoid collecting sensitive personal information.
How we use it
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and keep the Services secure.
- To meet legal obligations when we're required to.
We don't use your information to build advertising profiles, and we don't make decisions about you through automated profiling.
What we never do
We never sell or rent your personal information. We don't share it with data brokers, and we don't use it for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. The only parties who may handle your information are trusted service providers who help us run the Services (such as hosting or crash reporting) — and only to the extent needed to do that work on our behalf, under obligations to keep it confidential.
AI and on-device intelligence
Some of our apps use artificial intelligence to power certain features — for example, to understand what you say or to help organize what you enter. When they do, we aim to keep it private and to put you in control:
- On-device first. Where we can, we use on-device intelligence (such as Apple Intelligence) so the processing happens right on your device. In that case your content isn't sent to us or to anyone else.
- Optional third-party AI, your choice. Some features may let you connect your own third-party AI provider — for example, by entering your own Anthropic (Claude) API key. If you turn this on, the content you submit for that feature is sent directly to that provider to generate a result, under that provider's terms and privacy policy. We store your API key only as needed to make the feature work, kept on your device wherever possible, and you can remove it at any time.
- No training on your data. We don't use your personal content to train our own AI models, and we don't sell it.
- AI can be wrong. AI-generated results may be incomplete or inaccurate, so please don't rely on them as professional advice.
We also use AI-assisted tools to help us write and maintain our own software. That development work does not use your personal information.
How long we keep it
We hold on to personal information only for as long as it's needed for the purposes above. When it's no longer needed, we delete it or strip it of anything that identifies you. If you ask us to delete your information, we'll do so unless we're legally required to keep it.
Your choices and rights
You're in control. You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — just email us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to access or delete your data and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We honor these requests regardless of where you're located, and we'll respond as promptly as we reasonably can.
How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is ever completely secure, but we work to safeguard what we hold and to limit who can access it.
Children
Our Services aren't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and for meaningful changes we'll do our best to give you a heads-up. Continuing to use the Services after an update means the current version applies.
